first watch in the theatre was perfection if i’m being honest!! second watch- i love, but not quite the same. there is some magic to watching a film as it’s meant to be seen!!

The Substance 2024
i feel very conflicted about the substance. i like this movie and i like how weird it is, but for such a long movie with a pretty streamlined plot, it felt surprisingly surface level. i wanted to dig deeper into so many aspects of the films, im feeling unsatisfied!
