Zoe Saldana shined in this for me, I see why she won the Golden Globe. Really interesting and unique concept. Strong storyline that kept me intrigued. Some of the songs were iffy at times but others were really strong and fun. And I didn’t always believe Selena’s character which took me out sometimes.

This movie challenged me to question my own biases as a viewer. Biases about what standard beauty is and how its linked to happiness. This film completely turns that notion on its head, with Edward’s so-called new life as a “normal” man causing him nothing by anguish and regret. Sebastian stan is incredible with such a compelling exploration of this man’s journey. Felt like he was truly living in the performance
