Honestly I have no idea what to rate this movie. It’s objectively a horrible, horrible film. Totally incomprehensible and ridiculous – the book is already weird and then Mr. David Lynch somehow thought it wise to add several even more bizarre elements to the movie adaptation for seemingly no reason at all?
However, I can’t say that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy watching Dune (1984). It was so horrible that it was actually good. This movie has convinced me that the spectrum of bad —> good is actually a circle, and this movie sits at the exact point where “flaming pile of garbage” and “absolute masterpiece” touch.
