  a generally fine shark movie -- there was a lot of plot which I actually didn't mind but then the characters and plot didn't seem fully thought through so we were kind of left with not enough emotional investment and not enough shark

  what are you people not getting......her web connects them all!! I cannot put it any better than JP Brammer:

  "Madame Web eschews primitive binaries such as “bad” and “good.” I find the question a bit offensive. But if you must know, yes. Madame Web achieves an anti-quality that makes unwitting meta-commentary on the genre it has infiltrated.

  And honestly, despite all that, I don’t really get how it’s so dramatically different from every other superhero movie. Sorry she wasn’t on…

  ariana genuinely great actress??
  big screen allows for more emotional nuance in numbers like No One Mourns the Wicked that make them more interesting
  Jon Chu knows his way around a big ensemble number
  bowen :')

  cons:
  can you turn the brightness up
  why would you sing live just to do all that weird mixing later
  part one is the length of the full stage show. no excuse for that
