Sing Sing 2023
This was beautiful. I really liked how you’re immediately immersed into the story without hearing much backstory from the men until the time is right. Their character development was sprinkled through the film so that each moment was impactful in just the right way. Acting allows the men to briefly escape the character they’ve been their entire lives and pour their heart into a creative outlet. The acting coach was so kind too, I loved how the play was inclusive of everyone’s ideas even though some thought it wouldn’t make sense. I really enjoyed this!!!!

Best thing I’ve seen in a while, perfect blend of dark humor and sci-fi. Reminds me of if Star Wars, Arrival and 1984 had a baby? Definitely some current political undertones which I wasn’t mad about… got me thinking more about the idea of being “expendable” too, really well done!!!!!!
