  Igby Goes Down 2002

  I just love Kieran if I’m being honest. 

  However, this movie tackles real issues through Igby as a teenage boy. 
  It’s a good plot, good film and overall definitely worth watching.

  However, it is UNCOMFORTABLE in many scenes and might be triggering for a few reasons:
  1. His dad mental decline and breakdown 
  2. Being beat up in army school/training 
  3. Sleeping with an adult who’s sleeping with his uncle 
  4. His mother assisted suicide

  Funny Games 2007

  I loved this film, saw the one woman who talks about “disturbing films” on TikTok and decided to watch it. 
  I’ve watched both versions but I’m English so, this one’s easier for me to understand. 
  Perfect recast, plus I love Hannibal so the actor pick is great. 

  I was genuinely shocked the whole way through, home invasion is a genuine fear so the direction this movie moves in is NOT helpful. 
  Although it shows no gore, killing an innocent family…

  The Secret Garden 1993

  Honestly, an aesthetically pleasing movie and a very beautifully filmed story. The plot line is bittersweet and it’s a classic film I watched with my mum. 

  However, it is boring. I can’t and won’t lie, little ten year old me was not interested until I watched it again a few years later and enjoyed it. Still, it isn’t a film I’d pick now out of choice.
