we can never decide on a movie here but luisa somehow tricked us into watching this one. i have not stayed awake for a single movie this summer, and this one was no exception, but i did make it til the last 15 min - overall goofy and really enjoyed the music and the brooklyn scenes. space worms is a bop, unfortunately there was some seriously problematic treatment of women. hard fail of bechdel test + an actual assault

good choice by me to download this movie for the plane. benedict cumberbatch shows what it’s like to be yale educated and rich but choose to only bathe in a secluded pond every few days when the cattle ranching stench becomes too overpowering… i enjoyed it all. would have been able to better take in the montanan (new zealand?) vistas and “uneasy music playing” were i not watching on an iphone 8 screen with a boeing 787 roaring in the background
