Watching this film made me realize a few things i'm tired about in movies today.
    1. Costumes looking like costumes, while here all costumes and outfits looked genuine and made sense
    2. Toxic masculinity and its reverse soft masculinity as being considered a "woke" concept if that makes sense. This film has a beautiful representation of masculinity and male friendship and yet it doesnt feel like they're trying to make it seem progressive and so imo it's even more effective.

A great film about the horrors and fears that caused many lives to be watched during witch hunts. It accurately showed the targeting of the people on the outskirts of society, but also the "young and pretty" as well as featuring critiques of the church who facilitated it by catching/torturing "witches". Of course it's dramatized film but it stands the test of time imo and remains entertaining today.

One of my favorite parts was where the one Monk was overcome with sinful thoughts about a woman, which much have meant she had bewitched him (since he was a man of God obv).

Honestly it's funny just how similar it is to Dracula- no wonder Bram Stocker's family sued. But, it also adds it's own interpretation to vampire lore that's very original and has created it's own legacy.

I don't blame Lucy or Mina for wanting a piece of that...
