It was very 70s which was fun to be inside of and the acting was interesting. Plot wise it wasn’t groundbreaking in any way. I think something about their dynamic annoyed me. Also it was a trying a little bit too hard to be intellectual when it was actually simple just in general like the characters and storyline and even style of filmmaking — but it was 70s and i think that was it’s most interesting quality
I had high hopes for this movie because I liked Basic Instinct and apparently it was adapted from a story by the writer of Rosemarys baby etc. But alas I found this movie to be confusing and disappointing. The reason I say it was confusing was because, I’m not sure what it’s trying to say. The last line was, “Get a life.” Which Sharon Stone says before switching off the cameras and thus, the movie. But, we are not watching…
This one was good, but maybe not a stand-out in any particular way compared to other film noir. I think it had an interesting message about the inescapability of class and hardships because of it, and it was thoroughly unrealistic. But that man who turned out to be really a bad guy was so handsome, like really.
it was indeed good but maybe a little too lana del rey in a way that i think i would’ve enjoyed more if i was 17 years old
