sunday morning in an empty cinema was a perfect way to watch this. i had no idea who 95% of the characters were that i assume we were supposed to know and i think that made it better actually. mercifully little superhero stuff

no but really there’s are not enough movies about specifically being 27, and especially being 27 but behind your peers lol

the comedy works really well here, and is the only reason it gets 3 stars. emotional beats just did not land at all, i really did not care about these people or their product-placement filled lives (the celebrations scene was particularly egregious). the last 45 minutes really dragged and by the end i was just glad it was over 

im gonna stop writing this because im talking myself into a 2.5 star rating fast— ah fuck it, it wasn’t good. 2.5 stars
