  Yorgos Lanthimos confronts your senses head on with a clunky score and highly uncomfortable first act, then thrusts you into a weird, wild and colorful exploration of unbridled feminine curiosity and the self actualization of newly born Bella Baxter. Drags a bit after Lisbon but has you constantly grappling with its characters’ conflicting philosophies, and wow what a powerful ending🥰!!! Bella Baxter is infectious, her naivety so courageous, you’ll be too inspired by her to mind the film’s Oscar-baity pretentiousness.
