"Anora" isn’t as raw or original as Tangerine or The Florida Project. The comedy with the Russian guys mostly falls flat, and the film feels like a calculated shift from the earlier films toward something more mainstream and awards-friendly. It’s a good film, but it lacks the boldness that made his earlier work stand out.

The Wild Pear Tree 2018
The Wild Pear Tree is occasionally slow, somewhat messy in its direction in certain sequences, and beautifully sentimental in some moments. The final third minutes is truly remarkable. It’s not on the level of "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011)" or "Winter Sleep (2014)", but it’s still absolutely worth watching.
