    I love being a woman.

    The Watermelon Woman

    ★★★★

The hybrid format between documentary and fiction made me really inspired.

The Watermelon Women proves you can criticize power structures in a subtle and eloquent matter, without renouncing slice of life.

Nowadays, it still feels refreshing and full of meaning. Hopefully, more black lesbian women continue to follow Cheryl Dunye‘s legacy.

Martin Margiela: In His Own Words

    ★★★★

Martin has a positive approach towards clothes and is really curious about the different stitches and textures.

I’m enchanted by his organizational system and how free-spirited and revolutionary he is.

    What a man.

    Audition

    ★★★★

The first half was a bit slow, but when it started getting serious, it got REALLY serious. The shots, transitions and sound effects fully capture the message “Audition” tries to convey.

    I crawled and I laughed.

Put simply, it’s both uncomfortable and fun.
