just an absolute slog, sets up plenty of interesting ideas and completely abandons them. pattinson is great but every moment with ruffalo and collette feels like torture. i'll probably give it an even lower rating on a rewatch.

final destination but this devil doesn't have the mechanical genius the death of that franchise. no rube goldberg machines of carnage just a vending machine and a pool skimmer. teens were surprisingly sympathetic for the genre, and that's about all it had in its favor.
