A Haunting in Venice 2023
Kenneth Branagh did a good job with this one. It was well shot and nicely edited.
I am the type of person who reads the book which inspired the movie before watching the movie (I like to compare the two medium). As a Agatha Christie enjoyer I, unfortunately, found the book quite underwhelming and I was curious to see how they translated this story on screen.

The concept of the movie seemed really interesting so maybe I expected too much of it. I was really intrigued with the first part, which, to me, was quite good. But it quickly falls flat at the beginning of the second part, and I won’t talk about the third… We don’t know where the movie wants to take us and I am not sure the director knows either. I think I would’ve preferred a revenge movie after the wife wimps out of the downsizing procedure. It would’ve been fun. Too bad.
