  The Sacrifice 1986

  Some dialogues were so annoying, specially Otto and Alexander when O. tries to convince A. to sleep with M.
  And then Otto just disappears.. I think the characters could have been better elaborated.. don’t know..
  of course a lot of value in this film but..
  knowing that Tarkowski finished the post production of this film from a hospital bed and all the circunstancies.. and his film deserves 10 starts. But that’s just how it felt after watching it.

  Lapilli captures you at some point with no return. Slowly stabs you with an adaga deep in without asking for consent.
  It’s brutal and so delicate. I’m glad Paula decided to give this film life.

  Each frame is like a painting you wish to be part of.
  The ocean and depth.. washing out feelings and emotions.
  I feel like the empty fish basket was carrying so much in it..
  Scenography and the charismatic fisherman gives so much life to this poetic film… is all beautiful in an effortless and genuine way.
