Magical. It does not lend itself to easy interpretation, but it is a phantasmagorical experience needed to experience first hand in the right set of conditions. Ably supported by the gorgeous lighting and shot designs. Immaculate direction. No one shoots intimacy better than Guadagnino.

Cure 1997
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Not always you start the year with a movie, which instantly jumps into perhaps your list of top movies of all time. Cure is an enigma. I haven't been able to shake it off from my mind even after a week I saw it. I almost jumped when I saw the X symbol in Sakuma's home. Koji Yakusho and Masato Hagiwara delivered a performance for the ages.

Crimson Gold 2003
The opening sequence is marvellous. Panahi's observation is as sharp as ever and his consistency is remarkable. I realised another Persian auteur Kiarostami wrote the screenplay for this. Iran's Taxi Driver (or Pizza delivery boy perhaps!)
I need to finish his filmography soon.Translated from by -
Rangoon 2017
Rangoon is Vishal Bhardwaj's most inconsistent film. With terrific cinematography and art design, he tries to recreate what Bollywood lacks the most, good wartime thrillers.
The war sequences are exquisitely shot, mostly without any evident CGIs. But some CGI-ish looking additions are glaringly visible in the scenes which are not supposed to be simulated (note the smokes from the trains). Dialogues go from Gulzar level to wafer thin within scenes. Editing goes from properly timed fade outs to abrupt ends…Translated from by
