  Beautifully tragic movie. The insight this movie gives us into parts of modern chinese history, the beijing opera and the way art and it’s use changed under the Mao regime is truly illuminating! Also leslie cheung slays

  The plot itself is really shit but the visuals are chefs kiss💅🏻 the set and costume design Departement really did their job so incredibly well and I was able to forget about the horrible storytelling and acting thanks to the stunning scenery
