  Divas in robes plotting, scheming, and throwing holy shade? Mother, this is Mean Girls in the Vatican. Ralph Fiennes is serving papal Regina George, orchestrating the ultimate slaylection while the cardinals give side-eyes and whisper in Latin. The drama, the tension, the ecclesiastical eleganza, if the church was always this messy, I’d be at mass front row in a Balenciaga veil. Vatican serve of the century!

  Oh, like the Frank Ocean song? I wish. Novocaine doesn’t ease you into anything. Jack Quaid is absolutely feral as a man who physically can’t feel pain and uses that as an excuse to make the most deranged choices possible. It’s gory, it’s ridiculous, and somehow, it works. You’ll wince, you’ll laugh, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll spend half the runtime wondering why Jack Quaid covered in blood is kind of doing it for me.

  Shoutout to Thandie, head of the Pink Pony Club, for physically laughing and recoiling with me when that Chappell Roan song played in the background.
