  Fantastic film about the casualisation of brutality. It obviously focuses on Nazi Germany, but I think its lessons can be applied to our own societies, and their real horrors.
  Framing the narrative from a child's perspective is the key in getting the audience to accept that casualisation, and allows the comedy to be actually funny in a way that isn't just edginess for its own sake.
