Donnie Darko 2001
Made the mistake of unknowingly not watching the directors cut. My theory was that Donnie died in the original jet engine fall and the entire movie was his mind trying to come to terms with dying by creating a fake scenario where he is saving everyone he loves and so he leaves in peace believing that he saved people. Upon research I realized that this was not it at all and this is actually just fully a movie about time travel and i’m annoying. Rare Maggie Gyllenhaal sighting.
