Ready Player One 2018
Outside of the obvious critique, this film really struggles with making its set pieces have oomph. There's a bit during the race for the first key where a T-rex comes out of nowhere, bites down into a random car, and then disappears from the film. Almost all tension set up within the film is instantly relieved which leads to a deeply dissatisfying watch.

Like what if there are forty characters introduced next to each other and what if there are aliens and what if the plot of Videodrome is just like happening in the background.
