Mickey 17 is an intriguing concept with lots of fantastic characters and ideas, but I'm not sure if it works. I enjoy Bong Joon-ho's films and how they address anti-capitalist themes, environmentalism, and other societal issues, but this one felt a little excessively apparent. The Monkey 2025
Osgood Perkins' dark, strange horror comedy The Monkey captivated me. Even though I believe the plot loses some of its luster in the third act and near the finish, I believe this is a terrific picture in general, with outstanding production design and photography. I truly adore this crazy story about a cursed monkey oddball that kills people in the most outrageous ways, and I found it pretty funny. Overall, I had a terrific time, and I enjoyed the hilarious tone and atmosphere. It doesn't take itself too seriously and is an excellent film. It is my personal favorite Perkins film. 8/10.
