Underworld 2003
Aesthetically fantastic, this movie sparked a love of kinda good kinda bad vampire movies in me. It’s flashy and iconic, probably responsible for my love of black hair and broody eyes, and host to a banger of a soundtrack. It’s story is a little light but honestly for an early 2000s sexy-monster movie it has its place.
It’s a VtM game where the chronicler forgot most of the lore and said “fuck it we ball”.
Recommended if you like being bitten.

Day Shift 2022
Weird omelette of a movie, not great not terrible. Action was enjoyable and the soundtrack has a few moments. Story is kinda just there but I enjoy the actors enough that I watched the whole thing.
Would I recommend? If you need something to throw on in the background or watch lazily, yes.

Christ I love a good neo-noir film.
Beautiful shots form a sometimes-quiet sometimes-hectic always-riveting crime thriller that keeps you locked in for its run. Engaging acting and a subtle but well done soundtrack keep the atmosphere dark and gritty, but never delving you too deep into the doom and gloom a lot of noir-ish movie do.
Highly recommend for the noir lovers out there.
