Lots of laughs but this movie did not convince me that Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell had some deep-rooted attraction through sabotage. They vibed as frenemies, but not so much in the sense of harboring deep rooted feelings of attraction for one another.

This film provided me with 85 minutes of crippling anxiety for this cat’s wellbeing. I felt invested but every time that cat was on the verge of being attacked by the secretarybirds, dogs or thrown overboard, I felt so much anxiety and potential devastation that this cat was going to succumb to a grisly fate.

We need to appreciate the "petty" in this film. The honesty is refreshing and the fact that the ex-spouses do not wish each other well is refreshing over the contrite version of exes that Hollywood insists on giving us regarding divorced couples.
