This is a weird film. I can see why people love it—it’s surprising and punches way above its weight class in various places. Tilda Swinton is, of course, incredible. The world building is inventive. Ed Harris and Octavia Spencer are also great.
But the kids plot line? All the other performances? The action sequences? A lot of this is a big bust.
