Seeing the beauty in tragedy.
In the films that are worthwhile, every shot, every line, and every scene has a purpose.
I have no idea what me and my mom saw on a streaming site some years ago when trying to watch this movie after finishing the first 2 seasons, but it definitely was not this. I did not expect this prequel to be as good as it was, but maybe it was because my younger self did not comprehend what Lynch was trying to portray. The tragedy of Laura’s downward spiral was like a car crash in action that I could not take my eyes away from. Masterful precision by Lynch as this might be better than the show for me barring a third season viewing.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The Rock plot armor go crazy.
I think the only decent part of this movie is the method used (directing/editing style) to convey the discovery of Madame Webb’s power. I felt like it was an interesting way to portray the disorientating ability that she has.
Man what a perfect movie to watch after the most grueling semester ever.
Shit and I also forgot it was my birthday. Cheers.
