  “Darling dear, what have you done? Your hands and face are smeared with blood.” Thank you the Decemberists. A music video (linked here) for a 19 min long EP basically counts as a short film, right? It’s the same story throughout, so I’d say yes

  The silhouette animation style is legitimately soooo cool and beautiful. I could feel Cuchulainn’s pain after he killed Ferdiad even though they didn’t even have faces—the gestures alone were enough. Fantastic animation for a fantastic EP. Now I have to go do research on the Irish story the Táin to make more sense of it all. I’m obsessed

  Letterboxd taunting me for already having logged this movie 11 times. Let me live my life in peace. It’s my “if I’m having a bad day, this guy’s having a way worse one” movie and I could overanalyze it to hell and back. Sam Mendes and co. what did you put in this movie
