Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom 1975
my friend took me to see this to cheer me up when i was having a sad, sensitive and depressed day. i cried afterwards.
to give her some credit, i did read the comments before including "this is the most fucked up film ive ever seen". i thought i had seen fucked up things until i saw this film.
i suggest stronger trigger warnings. my favourite thing about the film was the consistent viewpoint and focus of pleasure.
apparently the depth and intelligence of the film translates and builds after second watch.
