  Really tried my best to keep up. Always love Christopher Nolan, but this was probably just over my head.

  Characters are good, concept is cool (though, obviously very complicated). As Willie Jennings would say, “Time is a creature.”

  Ryan Gosling does fine as Neil Armstrong, though, Neil, himself, doesn’t seem like a particularly gripping historical character. Makes sense—a solid workhorse of a man who is absurdly even keel seems like a great person to have leading your most dangerous mission at NASA, but apart from the drama of being an astronaut, Neil is—at most—a barely interesting subject of focus. 

  Might have been a better movie if they had included the wild personality of Buzz more often!
