  This movie felt to me like I was watching a poem on paper. Everything about it was beautiful from the music and the cinematography to the message of the film; true love will withstand any and all obstacles.

  Going into this movie, I felt it had a lot of potential. Coming out of it, I feel like its heart was in the right place, but the aftertaste was sour. The message of togetherness, tradition, and the beauty of small things did in fact have a positive impact on me. Where the film fell short in my eyes was how it condoned violence against women and upheld old myths and stereotypes. The resolution felt incomplete as well, but that aids to the big picture which is that family, friends, and life will never be perfect.
