    This feels low effort. I love the idea of exploring a favorite movie and mining the inspiration, etc. However this is just a presentation of scenes as a comparison with little else. No insight or commentary.  I think a director creatively blending favorite shots, notions, etc is common and Tarantino is expert at that. He also is pretty open about his sources. No scandal here just a short that has a good idea but failed to do much with it.

    Fun watch. The Clooney/Pitt chemistry is what you would expect and some funny call backs keep it relatively light throughout what could have been a much darker film given the subject.

    I saw the theatrical cut as a rental in the 90s and remember liking this a lot. Great scenes about Mozart’s musical genius. Also great monologues “how do you kill a man..”, “32 years watching myself become extinct…”, etc. That said we just rewatched and this was the directors cut and the running time felt long and I was ready for it to end before the credits rolled.
