  I think the script made a huge mistake depicting the klan as a joke. Having a racist comedic relief character kind of softens the blow of how much of a threat these domestic terrorists are. I get why they chose that direction as there is something disempowering about mocking foolish ideologies. But given the powerful epilogue; I fail to see how the movie demonstrates how these racist ideologies are a threat if it’s treated as a joke. There are moments when they nail it with drawing this thread of a racist nation from its birth to the modern day.

  A subversive action flick that is honestly so fucking entertaining. Witty Tarantino-esque banter, an ensemble of quirky assassins, set in one place similar to a who-done-it murder mystery, immaculate Japanese vibe, and the most over the top tongue-in-cheek action sequences. Get high and have a blast watching this.
