  unlike the Remastered documentaries on American artists, this one centering Bob Marley gave a rushed glimpse at his career. Some songs were mentioned and given context, but there wasn't a sufficient look at his career. Sam Cooke's Remastered doc, for instance, did a great job at capturing succinctly Cooke's career. I liked this doc, but there could've been more included.

  the intimacy of this...often there is a level of spectacle given to depictions from this era especially when Malcolm is involved. thankfully and beautifully, One Night in Miami brought in some necessary silence and affection instead of leaning too far into the flashy visuals, noise and grandeur that naturally come with these men's star personas; their personalities/politics were allowed to coexist, collide and reconcile (somewhat) in this quiet(er) space. this was lovely.
