  2nd time around the runtime still comes off as a bit ongoing though it’s fair considering the amount the story takes on and attempts to (and basically does) resolve while being able to bring in each individual character and incorporating it somehow into the progression of it all.   Some great deliveries scattered around though not enough to salvage the whole thing watched this really only after having seen the 60s version and finding out that this was Tarkovsky’s first film and feeling a need to find out what the hell he wanted to do with the story
