Rounders 1998
Best poker film I’m aware of. Matt Damon and Ed Norton (especially) portray their characters perfectly. Very fun and easy to watch but the poker lingo can make some lines a bit confusing without actually making the narrative hard to follow. As entertaining as the characters all are in the story, they can come across a bit cartoonish at times, especially Teddy KGB. But it was engaging and enjoyable enough that, after watching, I immediately learned how to play poker.…

Good Will Hunting 1997
Incredible to watch the first time and I’ll update this review when rewatching becomes any less enjoyable (I’m beyond my 10th rewatch). Stand-out performances from the entire star-studded cast. The lead character inspires a great level of personal investment without being cheesy. All the major flash points of the story are gripping, exciting and well-built up. But even with so many positive attributes, the dialogue (well delivered) is this film’s most outstanding quality.
