I wish I was smart enough to write a review for this movie

I don't think Wallace thumping his leg after getting invited in by miss THOTtington had anything to do with the curse imo.

I had to pull myself out of focus in some parts of the movie, which really suits the theme

I don't think being subtle is an exclusively good thing. Yes, I love when movies give me layers you can miss if you don't pay attention, but not at the cost of not doing much else. The camera work is great, so is the main character, but I was left wanting more. Pacing was also very well done, since the movie has barely any plot but still manages to keep you interested.

This is one of the rare shows to relevantly and funnily comment on current world topics. For the past 20+ years! I am in awe that these dudes are still rocking it.
