Samurai Champloo 2004
i didn’t realize i had this in my watch list but gage showed it to me a few days ago. the gore feels intense sometimes but so do the characters. i’ve really only watched a few episodes ands out of order but the soundtrack is SO fire. gonna keep watching with gage and see how it goes.

A Real Pain 2024
the cinematography was stunning. that one same theme song would keep playing, and they just knew when to put silence in the right moments.
it was so interesting to see the contrast of their characters, and feeling both of them so deeply. to experience the same grief but not expressing it as the same. i felt the frustration for both of them. for some reason their characters reminded me of my sister and i. they were cousins meant to be brothers.Translated from by

Anora 2024
My mom asked if I wanted to watch this with her, I don’t recommend that you watch it with your mother though.
This movie made me laugh and cry, (also still a little confused because there were no subtitles available), and angry under the circumstances in which Yvonne puts her in because he can’t grow the fuck up. Sean Baker does an excellent job at showcasing certain marginalized groups, such as sex workers, in an environment like the Big Apple…Translated from by -
Ratatouille 2007
ana and i cried when colette said “anyone can cook”, in response to the short chef guy asking why in the hell would they hire remi. always a 10/10. very emotional.
