Thought this would be a decent movie. It was not. Take a heist kidnaping flick, mix it up with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre element & a slew of other 80s horror, you get this disappointment.
Can't completely say it's a shit stain of a movie but it comes close.

The Old Dark House 1932
Hooptober 2016 Film #33 Extra Credit
Such a fun movie to watch from 1932. Interesting set of characters, challenges & set of events.Had many Hitchcock elements that I liked. The leading men cool, suave & dapper. The leading women prim, elegant & stunning. It's funny to think how people acted so proper in movies back then even in horror movies.
Although the ending was a happy one, it somehow felt short & abrupt, almost like an easy way out. Nonetheless it still worked. The movie as a whole is easy to get sucked into from beginning to end.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974
Hooptober 2016 Film #1
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of those films that you've heard so much about. The film that started it all with the slasher genre. The film that was banned in many countries. The film that help turn people into vegetarians. This is the film that set a gold standard in modern cinematic macabre.
As a child of the 70's, I remember hearing so much about it. One memory in particular was hearing its advertisements via…Translated from by
