I like it, and I appreciate what the commentary is about. But while the nonverbal behaviors were subtle and spot on, a lot of the conversations felt superficial. I don't know how to explain it.
I felt like I was watching one of those drunk driving commercials: 'If you hadn’t taken the wheel…' 'You should have stopped him…' Instead of shedding light on these behaviors in a thought-provoking way, it felt more like a prevention campaign, explicitly telling the audience…

I don't care what anyone says—it's the best Toy Story movie for me.
Andy passing his toys on to Bonnie by playing with them one last time—that scene adds ten years to my life every time I watch it.
But honestly, even though I'm a big Lotso lover (he's pink and smells like strawberries—how could I not be?), I can't fathom how I didn’t realize before how stressful this movie is. How could I forget the scene where the toys are nearly disintegrated in the trash compactor and have to accept their imminent death? That was lowkey traumatic for me.
