I ultimately found the way this movie was filmed too modern, digital and flat in depth. The frame rate at times felt too high. The sets looked a bit cheap looking as well as borderline Bridgerton quality. Aaron Taylor Johnson was terrible.
Eggers has difficulty getting a women narrative across where they are not objectified in a mundane way, and are constantly the problem & only solution for a men’s strifes. Lazy martyrdom in short. I feel he’s been dancing around…

Another self egregious male director who can’t seem to write a decent script in Los Angeles. This movie is some kinda splice up of the Zambino portions of House of Leaves, and a half ass attempt at Thomas Pynchon.
Love that, Every. Single. Woman. Is somehow topless, has an ass shot, dildo carrying, has whimsical bitch nonsense dialogue, and literally barks like a dog.
