  The personification of the interior limit of capitalist war appears, and challenges Japan teetering on the afterwaves of fascist desire. Whilst the absolute polarity of fascist desire is avoided, the film gives no relief or absolution by its end, and merely moves the limit of cruelty inflicted using the tools of capitalism (I don't think it's a coincidence the plan to defeat Godzilla relies upon mass release of freon gas).

  There's a movie that's entirely built on loving the fuck out of horses and setting them into AMV sequences and it's my drug.

  Would be immaculate if a cut existed that removed the narration that's about as limp and unnecessary as the Blade Runner narration. Matt Damon's voice breaks the wonderful emotive silence of the animal characters that's otherwise gracefully executed.
