  Really enjoyed this film, the concept was really cool and well executed. jake gyllenhaal ATE down with this, he gave us romantic cutie, tormented soul, and the most unhinged hubby (no but seriously he deserved an oscar for that). 
  The parallel stories were both such satisfying revenge stories; and idc but that book would be one of my favs, it’s actually gonna keep me up at night.
  AND THAT ONE JUMPSCARE IS WORTH 5/5 STARS IN ITSELF.

  But ye wasn’t expecting to enjoy this film so much - really recommend

  bring back sleeveless body armour and skirts for men with shredded calves 😚😚

  film was visually stunning and i’m not just talking abt pedro and paul ;)
  fight scenes are were sooo good had me gagging and gasping
  loved the different challenges in the colosseum - was like watching ancient hunger games 💀💀

  film was a bit stretched out and plot was a bit mid but i enjoyed regardless 😆

  if you can withstand over an hour and a half of the same boring montages and poor acting then you are rewarded with thirty minutes of stupid entertainment.
  although the visual effects and body props were great the actually body horror was mid as. i was bored throughout which should not happen in a satirical comedy. the lack of plot was mind numbing and built to nothing.
  just cannot get behind this one 😔✊
