One shot was fire. Really good acting. Interesting premise. Felt slow at times though
My rating for this movie improved drastically over the course of the narrative. Mikey Madison had an incredible performance in Ani, pretty deserving of best actress imo. After the scene with Ivan leaving, I feel like I genuinely felt everything her character was feeling as her world came crashing down. It was a tragic, but incredibly authentic portrayal and idk I feel like I was able to get a pretty genuine sense of empathy watching it all unfold, which again…
I mean wtf. Easily the best documentary I have ever seen and ever will see. The movie does an incredible job of not just chronicling the feat itself and the lead up to that, but also Alex’s complex nature, his relationships, and the way he sees the world. The film was perfectly paced and I kid you not when I say my palms were sweating the entire damn time. This movie hits hard and is a MUST WATCH for anyone and everyone. Dude is a legend.

The film hits as hard as ’kid’ punches. Stunning film from top to bottom, takes an underdog trope and presents it in a novel rendition of a heart pounding thriller that rarely lets its foot off the gas. Dev Patel’s commitment to smashing Hollywood stereotypes of south Asian culture is beautifully apparent and I applaud the execution of such a project in the face of the significant adversity encountered during production. Shoutout dev patel 😍#gujjupower
