Like Someone in Love 2012

Still so potent and on the pulse in its composition and screenplay. Every second counts in the runtime of this film and almost every scene makes me want to pause and rewatch. I’m constantly chewing on every characters version of love and the ways this complex jungle of dynamics finds itself barging into the credits.
Naked 1993

I really cant begin to decipher what it is about this film that narratively I'm left constantly intrigued by it throughout it’s runtime. Mike Leigh has such a way with dialogue and humor that even if you aren’t engaged by the end of it you definitely had some interest in these characters.

really beginning to appreciate harmony’s works and his very exaggerated (somewhat arguable) yet still empathetic environments and characters he throws at us. I find his writing to really work and although sometimes kind of crossing the line still at the very least entertaining. I continue to be fascinated by harmony and his outlook and creative process, by far one of the most innovative and thought-provoking american directors today.
