The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012
What a film! Good book adaptation beautifully interlaced with some of the remaining material from Tolkien's books. When you add the good acting, brilliant scenery and artistic cinematography, makes it one of the few movies that is worth seeing in 3D. The 48fps allowed for a much smoother viewing, although I can see how some may find it "distracting". Overall a fantastic movie experience.
