These are my recollections on David Lynch's films that I've seen on the occasion of his death. I'm a fan of his movies that I've seen, but I'm not some megafan. He will be missed.
I'm not sure what brought me to watching this particular movie on that particular day. I thought this one was great and less surreal, more narrative driven than we expect. Lynch having a connection to Mel Brooks is amazing.

I don't know what took me so long to see this (date approximate), but wow I was knocked on my ass. This is a movie! One of those times you think we don't deserve Nic Cage. Has a very gonzo '90s sensibility, but a unique voice and clear thesis.
