  I really enjoyed this visually, and the acting was good, although I can't quite put my finger on why didnt love it. I feel like it could have been a short and still had the same effect.

  Set design was nice, costuming was nice, it was a pleasant enough movie but I can't say I actually got to know any character enough to really give a crap about any of them so it wasn't a very satisfying watch. Just kind of a mildly pleasant time filler.

  how it's made for fans of foreign art films. I really enjoyed the dramatic music to go along with the excellent visuals.

  Kind of like a medieval buddy cop movie with Nicholas Cage and Ron Perlman that takes itself too seriously and not serious enough at the same time. Writing is... Bad. Dialog switches from modern English to period-ish dialog frequently, and Ron doesn't even try, lol. Also, it is pretty hard to get an emotional investment in any of the characters.
