The Midnight Meat Train 2008
Clive Barker’s material is strong enough that I’d never noticed how close the movie is to being Sawsploitation. At its best when Bradley Cooper (what a weird screen presence) is doing his stealth photography. At its worst when Bradley Cooper is trying to have romantic chemistry with Leslie Bibb (God bless). Cool & effective Saw-adjacent visual style/color grading, and nice production design (particularly anything relating to Mr. Mahogany).

In the last act, why didn’t she try not killing everybody, just to see what would happen?
In the last scene, she gets on the Triangle knowing exactly what’s going to happen at sea, but at the beginning of the movie she had no idea what was happening? Even though she’d just been through the whole cycle? Was she just pretending to be surprised the whole time? Why?
I love the concept and all the ideas behind this movie, and I was really invested in it...but it got so dumb towards the end and completely contradicted itself. Major letdown. Takes a 180 degree turn in quality.

Ooo! It’s them damn enchiladas!The sleaziest, funniest, most brutal, offensive, coked-out, quotable and rewatchable Friday the 13th.
