  Very suspenseful and I was interested the whole time. There’s a couple of good reveals and twists that are spaced out perfectly, and the acting is mostly very good.

  The ending is also something I wouldn’t have predicted! I won’t spoil it, but I like the moral ambiguity of it.

  I mean it was cool but this was for sure not a horror movie in the same way as the original “Ringu”. It’s some kind of a drama/sci fi thriller. Apparently this is actually a lot more faithful to the source material than the first movie, which is interesting because of  how different the tones of the two movies are.

  I say this about a lot of things but I think I respect this movie a lot more than I actually like it. I don’t feel like I would necessarily need to watch it again, and the pacing was kinda testing my patience a little bit.

  This movie takes a relatively simple premise to its extreme. Really, really good watch. I didn’t see too many people talking about it which is surprising because to me it has all the makings of a cult classic thriller.

   Also I’m sure that this movie will benefit from a rewatch, there was a lot of commentary and fine detail to catch.
